(More customer reviews)I thought the shade was solid chrome "opac" as shown in photo, but that is not the case, you can see through it even when the light is not on, and when you turn on the light, watch out... it like having a clear plastic shade... a bit short to for a floor lamp... i am 5'9" and it only comes up to my chin. I wouldn't wait the money and look for a better constructed item... I hate it when the product shown doesn't live up what we are lead to believe.
