(More customer reviews)We purchased two Picotte wind chimes from Wind and Weather in 2002 - the bass, and the megabass. They have been hanging from the eaves on the north side of our house since they were brand new. The chimes have been outside in all weather for years, and have not been adversely affected at all. The wood and the cording are top quality.
The best part of these chimes is the heavenly sound. They do not clang, they are never annoying. Any time there is a breeze, we are rewarded with velvet harmonies from the chimes. Visitors love to sit in our patio, and just listen to the music. I was afraid that I might grow tired of them, but that has not been the case at all. The deep tones from the megabass are gently soothing, and combine beautifully with the slightly higher tones from the bass.
I'd give these chimes ten stars if I could. These are well-made quality musical instruments. Cheaper versions do not even come close to matching the gorgeous sound from these beautiful wind chimes.
