(More customer reviews)If you are considering a canopy, be smarter than I was and STAY AWAY form KD Canopies! It is by far the worst quality canopy I have owned in 20+ years!!
I have several EZ-UP Eclipse canopies and an Allredy canopy for over 20 years and both those brands are excellent quality. Those frames are extremely durable and the top is heavy duty, highly resistant to rips and tears even in high winds. The aluminum KD canopy frame is one of the worst I've seen, probably on par with the $70 flimsy stuff you see in sporting goods stores. Don't expect a quality aluminum frame, this one is made in China from very brittle aluminum. One of the scissor bars snapped the very first time I put it up and two more snapped soon after. The top itself is NOT heavy duty and rips very easily - nothing like the heavy duty tops from EZ-UP or Allredy. To top it off, when I called KD customer service, the guy who answered my call insisted that I must have abused the frame and I don't know how to put up a canopy so he refused to warranty any of the parts. He was very rude and demeaning, so the canopy frame has been sitting in my garage for about 4 years.
Today I get a call from a KD sales person and I relay my horrible experience with KD after spending almost $800 on a worthless frame. She seemed nice and said she would look into it, then calls me back and offers me a 10% discount. That's it, 10%!! After wasting almost $800 and having the product FAIL the first time I use it, the best KD Canopies can do is have me buy more of their inferior parts at a 10% discount. The quality of their product is inferior and their customer service is even worse, I will let everyone I know in the racing community to stay away from their products!
