(More customer reviews)After years of using non-stick pots and pans, having to replace them frequently due to the eventual shredding and chipping of the teflon, I bravely made the decision to go "stainless steel." I am so happy that I did. I was nervous at first because of some reviews I had read about sticking, trouble with clean up, etc. I have had no such problems. I use my pots and pans every day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have used them for soups, eggs, hamburgers, sauteed vegetables, rice, and a number of other meals, very little sticking if any at all. I do not use butter but I do use a namebrand spray before cooking, perhaps that is the difference. But I used that on my old set as well. I like the weight and feel of this cookware. It is sturdy and well put together. Ok, I am not going to lie, I am no Paula Dean or Rachael Ray in the kitchen, however, I do enjoy cooking and trying new recipes so quality cookware is a must. If I was a celebrated chef I would put out the money for sets that are two and three times the price...maybe. I personally think Kitchen Essentials from Calphalon SS is well above average and worth the small price for such quality cookware. You doubters who are wanting to make the switch to stainless steel, my advice is go-for-it. I did and I have no regrets.
