(More customer reviews)I purchased this to replace my Toro Personal Pace w/ aluminum deck. Toro blew the engine after about nine years. While looking to replace the Toro, I found the Simplicity. It was $200+ less than the Toro. The motor starts with one easy pull every time (as did the Toro after nine years). To change deck height, there is one large lever that controls all four wheels. The Toro had a separate lever for each wheel. Thin metal with a plastic end. The ends always come off the Toro, and the thin metal will cut you. It's also much harder to move one wheel on the Toro, than all four on this machine. The deck is steel and not aluminum, which is supposed to weigh less and never rust. The weight difference is minimal. And although the aluminum doesn't rust, it does corrode, and it will crack. I have never had a steel deck crack. And I have owned very old steel mowers that rusted, I have never seen one rust through. Surface rust only. The bag is far easier to get on and off the Simplicity. and the "personal pace" of this is faster than the Toro, and hard to keep up with on hills. To be fair, I have not compared a new Toro Personal Pace against this mower, mine was nine years old. And I loved my Toro. But a $200+ savings on an absolutely comparable mower???? I couldn't pass it up. Very, very happy with this purchase.
