(More customer reviews)My First Years Simple and Secure finally bit it and I needed a top of the stairs gate that was easy to open and close and is hardware mounted. Not many options that dont have the crossbar at the bottom of the pass through. It is adjustable, but fine tuning is not its strong suit. Adjusted as wide as would fit, I was about a 1/4inch too long. Next adjustment location and using the extensions I was 1/4inch short. Had to use shims so it would latch properly. Also wish the latch wasnt so large as it does shrink the opening by a few inches. Not as clean a look as other gates I have seen.
It is very nice looking but expensive for what it is. Wish First Years spent the money to fix the safe and secure latch because it was by far the best and easiest gate to install, adjust and use as I have seen.
