(More customer reviews)I've been looking for a professional quality knife set (not made in China) for a while and this is it! I'm 99.9% satisfied with this purchase! I say 99.9% because while the case it comes in is cool, it's not very practical for me. I would have rather had a block to put them in. It comes with a magnetic strip that I would love to use, but unfortunately I don't really have the space to mount it... and my wife is getting tired of the case so I better get a block soon ;-)
I'm glad I waited to find something other than Henckels and Wustoff - both of which seemed too expensive for what you get. These knives are very high quality (made in Germany) and I'm sure they will be the last set I ever have to buy. I base this statement on comparison with the higher-end ($200+) Henckels/Wustoff. I would definitely make this purchase again and highly recommend this set.
... Now if I can just get my wife to stop throwing the knives in the drying rack with the silverware.
