(More customer reviews)This set is your basic gas log set. No pilot lights, no valves, no nothing but a burner tube, rack, logs, and gas line feed. Why 5 stars? The logs are terrific. The quality of the logs is second to none. They look as real as they can. And I expect they will last for years and years.
Installing this set isn't too difficult, provided that you are able to follow the basic, one-size-fits-all instruction booklet. My gas inlet is on the left side of the fire box, and the instructions assume the inlet being on the right. So I improvised by adding a 12" flexible extension pipe and coupling that to the feed line supplied with the kit.
The next thing to watch out for is the aluminum tubing that they expect you to bend without kinking it. There is a trick to doing this right and that is to fill the tube with sand before bending it. Still, be careful.
You will need Teflon tape for the couplings (or pipe dope.) So get your tools and supplies together before you start.
Anyway, this is a beautiful set that works as great as it looks. (The picture on the web is an accurate representation of the product.)
